Stop Rushing Your Healing

Stop Rushing Your Healing

Scripture: Ecclesiastes 3:11

"He has made everything beautiful in its time."

There is something about pain that makes us want immediate relief.

When we're hurting, we want the pain to stop now.

When we're grieving, we want to feel better now.

When our hearts have been wounded, we want healing now.

But healing rarely works that way.

One of the greatest frustrations in life is realizing that some things simply take time.

We live in a world that values speed.

Fast food.

Fast internet.

Fast results.

But God often works through process.

And healing is one of those processes.

Many people become discouraged because they assume that if they're still hurting, they must not be healing.

But that's not true.

Sometimes you're healing even while you're hurting.

Think about a physical wound.

The moment a doctor stitches a wound, healing begins.

But the scar doesn't disappear overnight.

The tenderness doesn't disappear overnight.

The recovery doesn't happen overnight.

Healing is taking place even though the evidence isn't fully visible yet.

The same is true emotionally and spiritually.

Just because you're still having difficult days doesn't mean God isn't healing you.

Just because you still remember what happened doesn't mean you're not making progress.

Just because you're not where you want to be doesn't mean you're where you used to be.

God heals in layers.

He heals conversations.

He heals memories.

He heals emotions.

He heals perspectives.

And often He heals us one day at a time.

So stop measuring your healing by perfection.

Measure it by progress.

Celebrate the small victories.

Celebrate the days you chose peace.

Celebrate the moments you trusted God.

Celebrate the strength you didn't have six months ago.

Healing takes time.

And that's okay.

Because God is not in a hurry.

He's interested in making you whole.

Trust the process.

Trust the timing.

And most importantly...

Trust the Healer.
