Emmanuel: God With Us (Matthew 1:23)
Category: Bible Study Bite
Theme: God’s Presence in Every Season
Scripture Focus:
“The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and they will call Him Emmanuel,” which means “God with us.”
—Matthew 1:23 (NIV)
Study & Reflection:
Before the manger, before the shepherds, before the wise men — there was a promise.
A promise that God Himself would come be with us.
That name, Emmanuel, means everything. It’s not just a title — it’s a truth.
He’s not God far from us, He’s God with us.
He’s with you in your joy, with you in your pain, with you in your silence, and with you in your storm.
Christmas isn’t just about remembering that Jesus came — it’s about realizing that He never left.
Reflection Questions:
-
Where do you sense God’s presence most in your life right now?
-
What does “God with us” mean to you personally this Christmas?
Prayer:
Father,
Thank You for sending Jesus — my Savior, my Redeemer, and my Emmanuel.Remind me that You are with me in every moment, not just on holidays or Sundays.
May my heart make room for You this Christmas. You are my peace, my joy, and my hope.
I worship You — Emmanuel, God with us.In Jesus’ name,
Amen.
